With injection moulding not an option, we looked at mass 3D printing from the start
Screw-less
No fasteners needed
When discussing the design with the engineers. They talked about how finicky the screws are in some of their other products.
We decided to go after a screw-less design to make assembly a breeze.
Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D printing.
Zero fasteners and minimal parts for this design.
MJF was the perfect production method for this low volume product.
We eliminating 8 screws with one plastic part. A great tradeoff.
